Intel MCU InstallationΒ

πŸ”Œ Plug-and-play installation: the T-Bridge Intel harness is installed in-line with the factory wiring. No cutting, soldering or permanent wiring modification is required.

Compatibility

  • Model 3: 2017–2022 with Intel MCU2
  • Model Y: 2020–2022 with Intel MCU

Before you start

  • Put the vehicle in Park.
  • Disconnect the charging cable.
  • Open the front passenger door and move the passenger seat back.
  • Open the glovebox before powering the car down.
  • Power off the vehicle from Controls β†’ Safety β†’ Power Off.
  • Do not press the brake pedal, open/close doors repeatedly or interact with the touchscreen while working.
⚠️ Important: connector layout can vary slightly by production date and region. Never force a connector. The correct factory connector must match both large connectors on the T-Bridge Intel harness.

1. Access the passenger footwell

Remove the lower passenger-side footwell / under-dash cover to access the wiring below the glovebox.

2. Identify the T-Bridge Intel harness (comes with T-Bridge)

The Intel harness has:

  • 2 large matching connectors β€” these are installed in-line with the vehicle's factory connection.
  • 1 small connector on the long branch β€” this connects to the T-Bridge module.

Connection logic

The adapter simply sits between the two factory sides of the connection.

πŸ’‘ Think of it as an extension inserted into the existing connector: unplug the factory connection, connect each factory side to the matching side of the T-Bridge harness, then connect the small lead to the T-Bridge module.

3. Disconnect the factory connector

Unplug the gray connector (may be a different color on your car) from the MCU, then connect it to the T-Bridge harness. It’s circled in blue and already connected to the harness in the photo.

4. Plug the harness into the MCU

Insert the T-Bridge connector circled in green into the same MCU socket you just unplugged. The next photo shows this connection.

6. Pair and activate T-Bridge

  1. Install / open the T-Bridge app.
  2. Connect to the T-Bridge module.
  3. Enter the activation key supplied with the device.
  4. Once you’ve checked that T-Bridge is connected and working correctly, put the glovebox panel back in place.
